7/1/09 Glucose Results are no longer displayed on the Physician 24 hour Summary Review on the Portal 'Review' tab.  Please refer to the Glucose Review if you need to obtain glucose results. 
 
Lexi-Comp An Internet based drug information application is now available on HCNET.  Click on HCNET and you will see it listed alphabetically on the left hand side of the page.  You can obtain dosing, drug interaction, side effects, medication info, etc.
 
Portal Did You Know? 
Many of the columns in Portal can be sorted ascending and descending.  You can just click on the header at the top of the column and it will sort the rows for you.  Click again to sort descending.  This feature is helpful for grouping labs together on the Results tab and grouping active meds together on the Meds tab.
 
RT and Rehab Services are now charting electronically 04/09/09
As of 04/01/09 RT and Rehab documentation is now available in your 'Review' tab in Portal.  For more information, click here.  
 
Blood Transfusion Review New to Portal 03/19/09  
A Blood Transfusion Review is now available on your Portal 'Review' tab.  This review displays nursing documentation of blood product transfusions and transfusion reactions.
 
Admission History Part 2  New to Portal 02/02/09
Clinical History Module aka Admission History Part II is now available on your Portal 'Review' tab.  This module captures admission history data including Surgical History, Family Medical History, Lifestyle Information, Psychological/Social History and Advanced Directive Information.  Click here for a sample of what the new module will look like. 
  
 
Newly Revised Portal helpguides are now available

PHARMACY UPDATE 
 
March 20th 2009

Potassium chloride extended release tablets (Klor Con) will replace the extended release capsules (generic Micro K). The capsules are unavailable nationwide with no anticipated release date. Klor Con are wax matrix tablets. The tablet shell may appear whole in the feces but the medication has been released from it.

 

Sevelamer carbonate (Renvela) will be replacing sevelamer hydrochloride (Renagel) over the next several months. The dose and the frequency of use are the same.

Hyaluronidase (Hylenex) injection will be trialed in the ED over the next 3 months.

 

The complete Health Central medication formulary is now available on HCNET under the policies heading then drug formulary.
