12/30/11 Message from the Lab re: SERUM ACETONE

Due to a nationwide manufacturer backorder of acetone reagent, testing for Serum Acetone will temporarily be unavailable at Health Central Laboratory. Testing in our facility will continue when the product becomes available, projected to be sometime in February of 2012.

 

As a possible alternative, Beta-hydroxybutyrate (Test code 6475) is performed at Florida Hospital Lab and is available 24/7 for testing with an expected TAT of 4-6 hours. Test request should be ordered as STAT.
