Lab Update 6/23/08
 
Effective Tuesday 6/24/08 @ 9:30 am Primary Lab reports will no longer print on the nursing units. (These are temporary reports that print continually throughout the day)
 
Results will still be available on-line in STAR, Admin Rx, EDTB, and Physicians portal.  You will still be able to print results as needed.  Cumulative summary reports will still be printed and distributed daily (Orange & White).  Panic values and unexplained significant changes will still be called to the nurse by lab personnel.

PHARMACY UPDATE 
 

April 2008  

 

Enlon, Tensilon and Reversol injection (edrophonium) have all been discontinued by their manufacturers. No company in the US will be marketing this product.

The FDA has issued a warning for Tussionex. The maximum allowable dose is 5 ml q12h. Larger or more frequent dosing has led to respiratory difficulties and death. Tussionex if NOT to be prescribed for anyone less than 6 years old.
